Let us relish a traditional Parsi sweet dish, Ravo
Ingredients
- 3 tbsp ghee
- 3 tbsp semolina
- 150 ml water
- 5 tbsp sugar
- 1 litre milk
- 125 ml cream
- 1⁄2 tsp sweet cardamom powder (elaichi)
- A pinch of grated nutmeg (jaifal) For decoration:
- 2 tbsp shredded almonds (badam)
- 2 tbsp raisins (kismis)
- 1⁄2 tsp ground cardamom
Method
- Heat ghee in a pan. Add semolina.
- Saute for 1 minute. Pour in water and sugar.
- Stir continuously until thick.
- Pour milk and continue stirring until semolina thickens again.
- Pour in cream and reheat. Add spices.
- Serve decorated with almonds, raisins and cardamom.
