UK Deputy PM at London Spiritual Centre Rt Hon Oliver Dowden CBE MP was warmly welcomed at the London Spiritual Centre (LSC) by the Trustees of Shrimad Rajchandra Mission Dharampur (UK) and greeted with a resplendent ceremony. Mr. Dowden paid homage to Jineshwar Bhagwan at the Jinmandir and offered flowers at the lotus feet of Param Krupalu Dev. As he stepped into the tranquil embrace of the Centre, he was guided through its serene environs, witnessing first-hand the multitude of community initiatives flourishing there. Amidst the ambience of compassion, Mr. Dowden’s attention was particularly drawn to the Hot Meals initiative, where he graciously contributed his time to pack meals for those in need. Despite his demanding schedule, he sampled a delectable meal, showcasing his solidarity with the noble cause. Addressing the gathering, Mr. Dowden expressed his genuine delight for the visit and enthusiastically anticipated future returns. He recounted the recent historic Jain reception at 10 Downing Street, on the occasion of Shri Mahavir Jayanti celebrations, a testament to the flourishing cultural exchange under his stewardship. Praising the Spiritual Centre, which serves as a dynamic hub for the community, he lauded its diverse offerings, from yoga to meditation, which foster social cohesion. Highlighting his commitment to the Hertsmere community, Mr. Dowden’s tenure as the local Member of Parliament since 2015 has been marked by a fervent dedication to unity and progress.
