Essence of Shrimadji’s Teachings

Standing at the foot of a hill, all that is visible are your immediate surroundings. Upon ascending the peak, you can see all of existence. Shrimad Rajchandraji was at that vantage point. Every word emerged from inner experience, every expression from universal vision, and every message from limitless compassion.

“Seek nothing else. Just find one Enlightened Being, surrender all your feelings at His Lotus Feet and obey Him. If you still do not attain liberation, then take it from me.” ~ Shrimad Rajchandraji ~ Patrank 76

The Sadguru is one who has experienced and revels in the self. Only one who has attained the path, can help you attain it. Surrendering unto Him – through mind, speech and body – is the way to the complete annihilation of ignorance, and the utmost path to liberation. True seekers must align themselves with a living enlightened master and follow His instructions with great passion.

“Certainly, this being must first, considering all the means as secondary, with complete surrender, practice satsang alone which is the primary cause of liberation.” ~ Shrimad Rajchandraji ~ Patrank 609

Satsang is the company of an awakened master, and the association of virtuous people. It is an internal process in an external environment, and the single most powerful tool to deepen connection and purity. Shrimadji emphasised the importance of satsang above all spiritual practices.

“Chanting, austerity or reading the scriptures; regardless of which activity one does, there is only one purpose to be fulfilled; that is to get detached from the world and dwell in the Truth.” ~ Shrimad Rajchandraji ~ Patrank 299

Sadhana is the spiritual practice given to a seeker through the instruction of the Sadguru. Through sadhana, the awakened master enables the seeker to bloom to his potential. He empowers the seeker with all the necessary tools to carve the path to his own spiritual progress.

“Karuna is to feel empathy towards the suffering of those afflicted by worldly miseries.” ~ Shrimad Rajchandraji ~ Patrank 57

Universal brotherhood lies at the crux of Shrimadji’s teachings. Seva is an offering through words, actions, or contributions. It is an active extension of one’s unconditional love and compassion towards all beings of the universe; the sharing of happiness experienced by coming closer to the self. Seva heals, purifies and elevates.

“Immerse yourselves in the soul, which is distinct from the body, illuminating the self and the non-self, supremely radiant. Oh Noble Ones! Turn within, remain steadfast, abide in that soul alone, then you will experience infinite boundless bliss.” ~ Shrimad Rajchandraji ~ Patrank 832

You are a peaceful, powerful and blissful soul – nameless, formless and timeless. Realising the soul is the only endeavour worth striving for. That alone is worth striving for. By following an enlightened master’s instructions, the seeker turns within, experiences the soul and attains samyak darshan or self-realisation.
